Hey everyone!
So, our trip to the jungle was sadly postponed. :( Why? Because it´s been raining for pretty much all of the last twelve hours, with lots of wind and cold. And when the weather is really bad, the bus doesn´t go to the place we wanted to go; because it´s a dirt road, and I guess buses don´t get along real well with mud. We are gonna try and go next week. So yeah, we are now in Plan B for Pday, or as one would say, playing soccer!!! Haha, as always. But it´s alright, the World Cup was going on and we couldn´t really watch anything, so we´re all excited to play lots of soccer these days. Haha, and also, this afternoon, I´m going to be going over to my convert family´s house to spend a couple hours over there. The mom has gotten really sick, so I´m gonna go visit them. And that pretty much sums up my Pday today. I don´t have any new pictures to send this week, next week I will have some to send. Promise. :)
Alright, to answer one of Mom´s questions, for Argentina´s Independence day, we really didn´t do anything. We walked around the streets bothering all of the people that were celebrating. It was really funny. I carried around a little Argentine flag with me just to make sure that nobody bothered me... didn´t work that well. A few people every now and then said something to me about being from Germany. Then yesterday, it was really funny, people started bothering me about being from Holland, yelling about how they had lost. Maybe it´s because one of the best players from Holland, I guess, is named Sneider... though I would really doubt that anybody reads my name badge before yelling things at me, though one never knows.... (oh, and yeah don´t worry about it, my leg is just fine now :) )
So, as you all know, transfers are this week. And also ends my time with a mini-missionary. As to who will be my new companion, or what I will be doing, no idea. I´ll find out tomorrow night. And then Wednesday I´ll get my new companion and we will get back to work. The work here is really taking off; we have lots of baptismal dates in the coming weeks. Why? Because the members are starting to work with us more and more every week. We started with just the branch president making visits with us; but now there are lots of members that have been newly activated, or that were active just not working in the church that are giving us references and going with us to visit them. The branch´s attendance is up to almost 30 every week, which is a huge improvement. I love this area. I wouldn´t mind being here for a really long time. :) Haha that´s all in that department...
Oh, Dad, I´ve gotta say that NBA news you sent me is all the talk among the missionaries here, its kind of funny. Another sports question, when is the basketball World Championship? People are already starting to tell me that Argentina will beat the US. Are they both actually playing? And will the US do ok? Also, keep sending me the Mormon Times stuff, I like reading it, and it makes good language study, translating it into Spanish. Haha.
Sounds like a busy summer that everyone is having back home. Did anyone happen to get a picture of Lisa all swollen? Hahaha. :)
Oh, and yeah, my mission president has kids. I can´t remember how many, but one actually lives here in Posadas. His wife used to travel with him to all the interviews and the zone conferences, but I haven´t seen here in like two transfers. They have less than a year left. President will be done 15 days after I leave the mission.
I´m doing great, healthy and happy. Just a little bit wet with the rain today. But that´s all. :) Thanks for everything, and especially to Lisa for sending me an email. I really don´t have a whole lot more to say either, so... until next week!!!
I love you all!!!
