Hello, hola, and greetings from here in Argentina
This week has gone by incredibly fast. I may say that alot, but it kind of feels like. Every week seems to be going by faster and faster. I didn´t even realize it was already Pday again, and poof, we were here. February is already almost over. Wow! At the same time, when one looks back on the week, it´s easy to see all of the stuff that has been accomplished at the time. Strange isn´t it? The phrase time flies when you´re having fun comes to mind. Anywho, continuing with my week. Today, being Pday, we played soccer. For the third week or so in a row. I´m actually getting better. Despite what some of those out there may be thinking after watching me play soccer as a little kid. I don´t make a terrible goalie either. : ) I guess when you do something over and over again you start to get better at it, kind of like teaching, or learning a new language. But yeah, is was just a relaxing day as always. Eating lunch together, and other such fun things. After we finish here in the internet cafe, we will be going to get a little bit of ice cream. That is probably the best way to end a Pday that there is.
On to the rest of the week!! Tuesday I had splits. I was with Elder Contreras, the new Zone Leader. We had a really sweet day. We found a lot of new investigators which helped us out for the week in letting us relax a little bit in the clapping houses department of things. Let us focus a little bit more on the investigaters that we have already. Wednesday we had our weekly district meeting. It was my turn to give the short training message and practice part of things. It was on how sometimes we forget that as missionaries, or as members of the church we forget that the vocabulary we use sometimes isn´t really that common to the rest of the world. We throw words like Atonement, Apostasy, Prophets around like everyday words, then we get to people´s houses and they really don´t have any idea what we are talking about. The goal is to simplify things a little bit. Make life easier for everyone. : ) Wednesday after the meeting we had lessons with the investigators that will be getting baptized in the next couple of weeks.
Which brings us to another very important point. This Saturday we should be having a baptism. The girlfriend of the son of President. Macarena. That is assuming that everything goes well with their marriage which is coming up here in a couple of days. I´m really excited! It´s really rare in my area to have baptisms this frequently. I´m just happy that we seem to be having God´s help in everything that is happening.
Argh!!! My time ran out, and I still had stuff to tell. Creating a new email account killed me. I will finish my weekly stuff next week. Sorry. : ( I´m alive, and well. Thank you so much for your letters.
Gotta go,
Love and miss you all,
-Matthew
