Hola!
Hey everybody, how is everything going at home? I hope that all is going well. Things here are going pretty well. We are nearing the end of Pday and I am pretty tired. It was a good Pday, a lot better than last one, at least not nearly as hot. As we left this morning it was incredibly hot, but then as we got to play basketball it cooled off alot, at least for the time that we were outside. So it was nice weather to play for a little bit. Then we went inside and had a ping pong tournament, followed by sort of tennis with the soccer ball, then we just gave up and started playing foursquare. It was just a couple of hours to have fun and play some sports type of things. Then we had food ordered from a place and we ate that. I had a half pizza, a kind of pepperoni style pizza. Now we are just writing home and then we may go bowling for a little bit. Then... the end of yet another Pday in the mission. Later tonight we have a family home evening with a family. Our golden family that really wants to get baptized and has gone to church for the last three Sundays. We couldn´t have asked to see a more prepared family to receive the gospel. If all goes well they will get baptized this Saturday or next, I´m really not sure which one. Last time we were at their house they gave us a little note that said thank you for coming over to teach us about God. It was awesome.
Whew, what else happened in the week. Oh, something that you are never going to believe. I played the piano as part of a little group of missionaries singing in Sacrament meeting yesterday. We did Nearer my God to thee. One of these days I´m going to have to really sit down and look at the piano again. I thought I did pretty good. I was just nervous and I didn´t realize how weird it would be playing with people singing. It´s alot different than just messing around by yourself at the piano. We again were able to have lots of investigators in Church yesterday. Our family and then a couple of other people that are going to get baptized in the coming weeks. They all seemed to really like Church. One girl, the sister of the couple that last got baptized, finally got permission from her parents to get baptized and so we are going to work on that for this Saturday. Her Dad is finally coming around and wants to know the Church.
Weather has been more of the same. Really hot. I´m getting used to being sweaty all over, all the time. Just like last summer, I stay with the hope that one day I will be cold while outside again. It has kind of half rained a couple times the last few days. But, it has only served to make the air more humid as the sun comes back out.
Hmm. We also had a day of divisions this week. I went and worked with an Elder Rodriguez. He is one of our district leaders. We had a really good day; we were able to work out a baptism that now we are going to have and do a bunch of other good stuff. But, for a lot of the day we were running back and forth doing errands for a leadership training we have on Thursday. I had to meet up with President, and give money to people, just a little mess. It made the day one with lots of walking.
I´m happy and healthy, the zone is doing really well. In a lot of areas the zone is doing better than ever before. Every companionship is starting to have lots of success and so everyone is a little more happy these days. :) We look like we are going to have a lot of success as a zone in the next few weeks. Well, I don´t know much more to say.... :)
I gotta run! I love you all!! :)
